Problem creating bootable cd to use Clonezilla

    Hey Gang,

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, and I'm sure it'll end up being something really simple, but I can't get this bootable cd to work.

I'm trying to use Clonezilla to do a bit for bit clone of my primary HDD to upgrade it to a larger drive, without having to reload everything.

I've downloaded the .iso and have MagicISO and PowerIso. I've followed a few walkthroughs online, but they're not being picked up during the boot process. My bios is set to cd-rom as first boot device, and the "boot from cd" text comes up during boot, but it never gives me the option to press any button. I must be doing something wrong on creating the cd.

In both programs I'm selecting burn image to cd/dvd, pointing it to the clonezilla .iso file and burning the disk. With MagicIso it even says "bootable" in the box.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Usually the boot from CD says press any key to boot from CD/DVD. Try it again and press enter when you see the Boot from CD/DVD. See if that helps.

Yeah, it just wasn't giving me the 'press any button' message.

I got it working though. I used the built in windows utility instead of the .iso programs and it worked. Go figure!

    Thanks!!
