I did once, but I had a grub boot error and it took me ages to fix it in the repair console command prompt

I dual boot mac osx 10 lion with windows 7 though

Used to dual boot Linux and Windows years ago. Now, I simply run my Linux boxes either natively without Windows, or as a VM within Windows. Virtual machines are a wonderful tool.

I'd put them on separate HD's if not separate machines, to avoid GRUB corruption of Windows 7 which can be irreparable.

If that's not possible: Dual-Boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu in Perfect Harmony

tried to install 11.04 Natty and make persistent USB flash drive with unetbootin and iso file other day,
and
got error message ".....can not mount......."

used to dual boot xp & vista, then xp & 7.. then vista & 7.. even vista,ubuntu & 7 once but all windows 7 now lol
