    Problem with starting msihnc32.dll


    Recently, a dialog box appears after each restart of my laptop. It says-
    There was problem starting msihnc32.dll
    The specified module could not be found

    (Screenshot attached)

    Well this hasn't given me problem so far but I want to know what exactly does this refer to. Any information with regards to this shall be very helpful.

    Machine Specification:
    Dell Vostro 1014
    Windows 7 SP1
    CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6570 @ 2.10GHz
    Memory - 2 GB

    It probably has to do with the Norton message in the lower right hand corner. I could find no reference to "msihnc32.dll" on my system or a process library. It could be malware. Apparently, Norton removed the file but didn't finish removing the startup process.

    You might try running Malwarebytes' Anti-malware.

    I found and unchecked the process using msconfig. It's solved
