Windows 7: Best non intrusive method to password protect a win7 folder?

From what I can gather there is no straightforward way to password protect a Windows 7 folder using the native capabilities of Windows 7. Ideally I'd like to password protect the Documents folder but I suspect that's gonna be impossible so I'll probably have to be content with protecting individual folders within the Documents folder. So, is there a consensus on the best third party tool to facilitate folder password protection without resorting to encryption...I just want to be able to put a password on an existing folder such wthat when you try to open it a dialog box will pop up and ask for the password and then open normally. I'm running 64bit Windows 7.

Why would you need to password protect a folder anyways? If you have multiple people using the computer make them accounts while password protecting your own.
