Aero peek not working correctly in my windows 7

Hey guys im having this problem with my my window 7's areo peek preview. It suddenly started malfunctioning 2 days ago. I have no idea how this happened.

The screenshot below shows how the areo peek in my computer is works now. This is what i get when i hover a icon in my task bar.

The aero peek in other user accounts works perfectly but not in my user account.
Please provide a solution for this. It will be a great help. Thanks alot :)

Hello Chamz, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are the thumbnail previews displaying when you hover over the taskbar icon of a opened window?

Do you see the opened windows on your desktop when you are not using aero peek?

As a test, double check to see if the opened windows may be offscreen some how. If they are, then that would be why you not see a preview of the window when you hover over the thumbnail preview of the opened taskbar icon.

    Hope this helps for now,
    Shawn

    hi

    hi Brink,

Thanks alot for your reply. The thumbnail previews are displaying when i hover over the taskbar icon of a opened window or minimized windows. The problem is that the thumbnails are very big and a small icon of that application is shown i middle of the thumbnail. You can see that in the screenshot below. and the thumbnails does not work when i have opened two widows of the same kind.

    thank you.

Oh, that is the taskbar thumbnail preview.

I had thought that it was the tranparent window for when you had a taskbar thumbnail live preview displayed of Libraries instead for as big as it was. Sorry.

If this just started doing this recently, then you could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this started to hopefully undo and fix it.

    Hi,
I did a system restore to my computer. But the issue is still there. Do you know any reason for this to happen? This thumbnail gets previewed perfectly on other user account, but not in mine.

    thanks

Did you select a restore point that was dated before you had these issues?

If so, then you're account may be corrupted. I would recommend to create a new administrator account to use instead to see if it works fine it as well. If so, then you could just copy any user files, shortcuts, and Start Menu shortcuts that you want from the old account into the new one and delete the old account from within the new one.
