I was updating video driver for radeon 4750 through Steam and all of sudden I got a bsod.. should've wrote it down but instead I just tried to restart. It freezes during windows logo screen and when I try to boot on safe mode it gets stuck loading atipcie. Anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!
Boot into System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair repeatedly. It should automate all fixes but if it doesn't solve your problem boot back into the Options menu to run System Restore to before the problem began.
I don't see option for system recovery options... version of windows is win 7 home premium that came w gateway pcI can go into bios or choose which device to boot from
If you tried using Option One via F8 menu to access System Recovery Options and it failed, then use Option Two by booting the Win7 DVD or System Repair Disk.

Normally when an Update or driver install causes unbootable Win7, Startup Repair will System Restore it quickly. But if not you can run System Restore from the Options list manually.

Are you going to use the WIn7 DVD to Repair or clean reinstall?
I would try Repairs first since System Restore often fixes boot problems caused by a driver install.
