    If I reinstall vista...


    and restore my backup, will my computer be exactly as it was, since the backup was made with Vista? BTW, I did NOT use the Easy Transfer Wizard

    It depends on how you did the backup and what you backed up. But, in general the answer is "No, it won't be the same."

    In particular you'll be missing any updates, settings, and other adjustments that you've made to the system.
