Question Search drives for multiple file extensions

I've made the move (fresh install on new HDD) from XP to Win7RC x64 (I never gave Vista a look) and I want to scan my old HDD partitions for *.xls;*.doc;*.dwg;*.jpg etc to make sure I haven't missed any old files which were not saved in the right place.

The two partitions are mounted as F:\ and G:\

In XP once you'd turned off the animated dog and chosen the advanced option, you could set "all of part of the filename" to "*.xls;*.doc;*.dwg;*.jpg" and "look in" to "f:\;g:\". It was a so easy

I can't seem to get Win7 to search for more than one file extension, let alone multiple drives as well. Is there an advanced search option which I've missed?

How can I do this? Help...

Try this tutorial from the Vista forums: Advanced Searches

Other than that, you can open an Explorer window on the drive you want to search (or Computer if you want to search the entire computer), then use the following as your search criteria:

    "*.txt" OR "*.doc"

Note that each extension type is enclosed in quotation marks ". The above criteria finds filenames with TXT or DOC in the filename, not only the extension. I modified it to this:

    "*.doc;*.txt"

And the search returned only files with extensions of TXT or DOC

I have found the answer try this:

You are looking for files that are either .exe, or .txt etc? Use the OR
{in capitals} to search for files matching any one term in the
    search box:

    *.exe OR *.txt OR *.whatever
