System wont Shutdown!! restarts everytime!

    System wont Shutdown!! restarts everytime!


    Everytime i shutdown my PC, it will turn off and restart itself after a few seconds! omg! tried a lot of thing but fail everytime..but now i shut down my pc using safe mode and it worked!! think it a software issue?p.s. I have no viruses!

    ok i will say the event in detail..i first shut down my pc..everything would powerdown including cpu fan,hdd and power Leds And the corsair cx430 fan and after 3 Seconds everything would startup once again. i dont think it psu problem bcoz i can shutdown properly under windows safe mode..it was working fine before somedays. my config-
    intel core i3 2100
    intel dh61ww mobo
    win7 ultimate 32 bit.

    do this SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and restart, let us know if it finds any errors

    there could be several reasons to cause this but at the moment try this
    1. Once in BIOS, go to Power Options (refer to the owner's manual if you do not know where it is).

    2. Scroll down to Wake On LAN and/or Wake On Ring and change them to Disable. This will prevent Scroll down to Wake on LAN and / or Wake on Ring and Change them to DISABLE
    This will prevent the computer from being able to come out of its power down mode whenever the phone rings or if LAN activity occurs (ie: you have another computer in the house on a network and someone logs on to the network from there).

    Press F10 and choose YES to save settings and exit. Your system restarts and the problem should be fixed.

    Okay my Wake on Lan is already disabled but it still restarts. should i do a windows repair or clear my CMOS?

    what were the changes you made 3 days back? installed any software?

    Just updated adobe flash player and deleted a game
