| | sata drive needs formatting Hi all I have installed windows 7 ultimate x64 and i am really impressed by it. but i have a question for you, i have a second 500 gb sata hard drive which i have connected after the install which is formatted with ntfs file system from my original windows xp o/s , it shows up in device manager but will not work , windows ask me to format the drive which i dont want to do because has loads of files on which i dont want to lose. am i missing something they both use the ntfs file system . thanks in advance for your help. |
