    Location not accessible

I can't access the My documents/My Music, My Pictures, or My Vidioes folders from anywhere( Libraries or C: Users) in the explorer tree. I have reset ownership and permissions in the securety tab and run pre-boot scan with Avast antivirus. I don't feel this is a Malware issue and I have run out of ideas on what to try. Also when I click on the pictures link with the shortcut arrow the computer has blue screened a few times. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

try this SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and post back results. a restart is required if errors are found after the scan completes

Scannow completed with no errors or messages. I looked at user accounts. it showed only admin and guest(turned off) which is as it should be. However there was a profile account called Updatus. It was also in the user tree. This was newly created and password protected whereas I never set a password for the admin account. I was able to delete it from the profiles and explore tree. I hope this wasn't a mistake. The default user account shows a lock and no matter what I do with ownership and permissions it remains loocked. Also in the properties for default user there is no location shown. I don't know how this would normally look in Win 7 and I don't have another Win 7 machine to compare it to.

Yes. The location is not available box. Now I am really confused. The user/Updatus folder is back after reboot. There are two My Documents folders under User/ XXX(current user). One is locked the other is not. Different folders are locked under each one. I can access the My pics, My vids, My music under the locked My docs, but not fropm libraies or the unlocked My Docs.

I thought maybe I should also mention system backup started to fail several months ago. I'm starting to wonder if a repair reinstall might be the easiest or even only way I can fix this?

I could have posted a screenshot but I went ahead with a repair install first uninstalling SP1. I was able to use the take ownership shortcut on the explore menu to take ownership of a few folders and now I can accesss everything. I reinstalled all of the updates except SP1 which keeps failing. The only other problem is I have to re-enter the network security key everytime windows reboots. When I enter Manage wireless networks there are none displayed. When I try to manually add it I get an access denied message. Is there a quick fix for these new problems?
