view picture slideshow from flash drive

I am unable to watch a picture slide show from a flash drive, i do not want to have to transfer the pictures to a computer just to watch the slide show, and no, I can not keep the pictures stored on a computer. Is it possible to change this or not?

Once flash drive is connected to computer can't you just go to that drive and click on and open the picture show you want to watch?
    Maybe I misunderstood your problem...

You could open the USB Flash Drive through My Computer, drag or Copy/Cut and Paste the pictures to a folder on your Desktop or anywhere you chose to save them.

Then open the Folder you saved them to and select Slideshow at the top.

Then after viewing save them back to your USB Flash Drive.

If you go to the customize tab of the properties for the folder the pictures are in and change the folder type to Pictures you will have the slideshow option in the command bar.

Good point, in more depth: right click your selected Picture Folder and select Properties.

Click the Customise Tab and under "Optimise this folder for:" section, click the Dropdown box and select Pictures, then click Apply and OK.

I can start a slideshow by viewing any picture on my flash drive in the default picture viewer and clicking the slideshow button or F11, even if the folder type isn't changed.

It is a very large number of pictures and takes 5+ min. to transfer the pictures
