Windows 7: How do I manually create shortcut to open folder in Library view?

It does actually work if you create the shortcut from within the library even if it gives the actual path in the link.

I'm not disputing that works. But if I take that shortcut and send it to someone, will that work? I dont believe so.

Only if the included folder is in a C:\Users\Public folder (or in a folder that all users have access to), then you could use Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut) to create a shortcut of it while in the Documents library to have it open in library view for all users like Kado (Keith) posted.

I tested this using the included Sample Pictures folder (C:\Users\Public\Public Pictures) in the Pictures library from my account, and copied the shortcut to a standard user account. It still opened it to the library view.
