    My brother Has windows Vista


    Hello, my brother has windows vista pc. He wants windows 7 too, is there anyway he can switch from windows vista to windows 7? :O. Like not a hard direction, he wants easy directions. Can you do it without a dvd?

    Hi iirollsushii, Welcome to the forums, Tell your brother to do a clean install of win7 ,upgrading can ,and does cause some problems

    Without a DVD, the only other method I know of is to use a USB flash drive. I can give you instructions for making a bootable Win 7 flash drive, but you will still need to purchase a legal Windows 7 product key.

    The best way to do it , in my opinion , is to purchase a new hard drive, add it to the system, then install Windows 7 on it. When your done you will have both operating systems ( 1 on each hard drive ) and you can choose which one you want to use everytime you boot up.

    Might want to run a Windows 7 compatible on his Vista System to see if he can upgrade.

    First of all,is your brother computer able to work with windows 7?

    Write here the system specs of your brother computer so we can help you more.
