    Please help!

Okay. So I did a bad thing. A very bad thing. I received an acer aspire one for christmas and was unhappy with the limitations of Win7 Starter, so i pirated and installed a, what is now clearly, a shitty edition of windows 7 Home premium. It wont recognize networks, wired or wireless, and in the troubleshooting it said it was missing a driver but i got the exact one needed and installed it and it still refused to work

I had one when i got the damn thing. I'm asking if there is any hope for me to not have to shell out cash to go back to the legitimate copy.

Your machine probably has a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive. It should allow you to restore factory specs. The usual procedure is to start the computer, wait until you see the Acer logo, then click and hold the "Alt" and "F10" keys at the same time. This should bring up a recovery menu. Press enter and then click "Next." Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to restore the operating system back to factory settings.

Glad to hear the restoration is working. I hope this taught you a lesson about pirated software. I decided to provide links to a tutorial that will help you change the background in Windows 7 Starter. It's not much but it is one limitation you can overcome.
