    Taskbar freezes on start/awake..

I've been having a problem with the Taskbar freezing upon waking my HP Pavilion dm4 laptop. MSE, and Malwarebytes detect nothing. There is nothing unusual in the services/startup tabs in msconfig. Saw something about a program called "Relevant Knowledge", and can't/didn't find anything regarding that either... Did a Google search, and all I could find were threads that were several Months, even years old.. I want to try a system restore next, but first wanted to find out if anyone has had this issue, and what you might have identified as the culprit, be it a Windows update (so I can set a restore date), or other issue. I have not installed any programs, drivers, or hardware recently. Any help would be appreciated..

    Thanks in advance..

Hello there, maybe you need to try with SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Hello there. ATM I'm out of ideas... Just Windows Repair is in my mind for this problem, nothing else. Be here, I'll ask for support.

Make sure that all of your RAM, data/power cables are properly seated.

Is your AV program "clogging up" the system?
A few years ago, AVG used to cause delays on my PC, by scanning EVERY operation I performed (e.g. try to open the "Start Menu" and then wait 10 seconds whilst AVG scanned).

Can you use the keyboard when this happens?
I've experienced weird behaviour caused by keys sticking.

Is your mouse working correctly (e.g. no cable or socket problems)?
I've experienced weird behaviour caused by damaged wiring and button "bouncing".

Do you have to reboot or does your machine recover after a few seconds?

Is your CPU maxing out when this occurs?

What brand of HDD do you have?
There was a problem with WD Green HDDs, caused by someone at the factory, setting the power saving feature to park the drive after 8 seconds.

    Hardware issues?
I had a problem with my MB SATA controller(?).
Some of the sockets had a weird problem, which caused lengthy delays when trying to access my HDDs (e.g. browsing with Windows Explorer).
After I swapped the connections, to a different combination of sockets, the problem vanished.
