Can't do system restore , not enough free space to restore the disk

I am trying to restore my computer because it launches into system recovery. After I get to the recovery options I tried to do system restore but it tells me there isn't enough space on the disk.

Thanks

It might be helpful if you posted details of the size of the disk or partition where Windows resides, the freespace, and also the size of the system/hidden folders residing on the root of that drive/partition...

Your system specifications are very scant, some more information there would also assist...

Hard drive : 500 GB
Free space is less than a gb

Where's the Windows Paging File? On the same drive? Also you didn't provide the information on the folders which were mentioned.

Regardless, you're running the gauntlet by pushing the capacity to such narrow limits, a number of Windows utilities will be hard pressed to work under such conditions.

A simple answer is to transfer off a heap of personal data to an external drive/stick, then run system restore.
