    Windows 7 RTM rearm quirk

I wanted to test the rearm option to extend my Windows 7 RTM trial period.

I found all kinds of tutorials but the easiest one I found was

    Open CMD with Admin rights
    Go to C:\Windows\System32
    Type slmgr.vbs –rearm
    Restart after prompt of sucess

This didn’t work and it complained about the parameter after slmgr.vbs

    So the solution was
    slmgr.vbs /rearm
    to check after rebooting
    slmgr.vbs /dlv

    Did MS changed that?

Why do I need to do that though if just typing "slmgr.vbs /rearm" did the trick.

I'm just pointing out that -rearm didn't work but /rearm worked with RTM.
