Everytime you creat a new user or change the user name a new account is made and the old account remains. You can delete the accounts that you no longer use but make sure you only delete the one not in use or needed. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home build OS Windows 7 Pro x64 CPU AMD FX 4100 4 Core 3.6GHz AM3+ Motherboard ASROCK 970 Extreme3 Memory 16GB G.Skill RipjawsX Graphics Card Radeon 6850 Sound Card ASUS Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays ASUS 23" LCD PSU 700W Case Antec 100 Cooling Hyper 212 Plus Hard Drives SSD 120GB

Thank you for you swift and informative replies 1 I can let you see a list, but unsure how. Hope there is a ,jpg here somewhere.
2 I never change user, nobody else uses this laptop. It has crashed (over heated a few times and just turned off) but I am the soul user.
3 Some of the NTUSER files are 2010, some are small some marked .DAT .RegTRANS .BLF .LOG

Select all the files that have the long '{xxxxxx" added to the ends. Delete but do not force delete. When you are presented with a dialog about some of the files that are in use, click on "skip" | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Alienware Aurora ALX R4 OS Windows 7 x64 (SP1) CPU Intel Core i7-3930K (3.2GHz, Turbo 4GHz) Motherboard Alienware Aurora-R4 x79 Memory 4x Samsung 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 (16GB 1600MHz) Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce GTX 690 (Stock) Sound Card RealTek Integrated Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell UltraSharp U3011 Screen Resolution 2560x1600 PSU 875W Some Dell PSU <.< Hard Drives Samsung P830 256 GB, WD Raptor 150GB, 2x 1TB HDDs Other Info Dell Inspiron Mini 10v (Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz; 1GB; Windows 7 Ultimate) |

+1.
I had a similar thing on my laptop before and found that I could simply sort the files by date, then delete all except the most recent set (one of each .dat, .blf, .regtrans, etc. file). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom-built OS Windows 7 Professional SP1 32-bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz, overclocked to 2.7GHz Motherboard Asus PL5D2 Memory 4GB DDR2-667 (4x1GB in dual-channel config) Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 9800 GT Sound Card Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Monitor(s) Displays Acer Screen Resolution 1920x1200 (DVI) Keyboard Standard Mouse Microsoft wireless optical mouse PSU Antec TruePower 2.0 Case Cooler Master Centurion Cooling various fans Hard Drives OCZ SSD Vertex Plus 60GB SATA (Firmware 3.55), 64MB cache
