You had to do it manually because your machine didn't know what operating systems were installed. the bootmenu on C-drive wasn't accessible. Now it can access bootmenu but couldn't start Windows 7 because bootmenu points to some startsector of your old C-drive. Your Windows 7 disk is not on same startsector because you moved the partition. Because of this it enters recovery environment and performs startup repair.
PW did fix the "corrupt volume issue". But of course the problem can still reoccur. I'm convinced it's a problem only with your harddrive. Reason is nfts ... hmm no driver or realy culprit listed in eventlog.
