Computer freezes after 2-4 min of logging up

I recently re-installed a new copy of Windows 7 my Pc. I did this due to a failure to boot up Windows (this a 3 year old computer and it has had issues software related in th past ) I installed Windows 7 again, but Now every time I try to work on I it freezes wit no warning at all between 2-5 min of logging in. How to know what is going on wrong? Is it a CPU issue? Video card? Memory? what could it be ? How to know if this is a software/hardware issue ?

What does it say in event viewer?

To check for freezing/crashing you need to check several things.

1-Event viewer.
Quote:
Type eventvwr in search and go to the windows log>application tab.
Look for errors. Errors have red in the left hand column.

Look for errors that say app hang, or app crash, or anything related to the problem.
When you find them either take a screenshot of them and upload them to us, or note the event ID and source codes and look them up in google. If you cant find them in google tell us what they are.

I would like to know how to stop my puter from logging me off when idle. I have disabled all other power options. I am trying to see if the system Watchdog_timeout errors and other BSODs are caused by the power management portion of Windows 7.
