OK, it seems I have to put up with it.
Anyways, thanks all for help and explanations!

(To seavixen32: the dvd contains a fairytale series that my 2 year old daughter requires every day at least once or twice and since I rarely need the dvd for any other purpose ... I think I will rip the dvd to hdd next time...)

Good idea, put it on the HDD. Or if you leave the disk in, now you know why it does it and just ignore it.

In that case, having had three daughters myself, I think I'd have left the DVD in the drive too!

Windows snaps away sometimes when I press on the Caps Lock button
It happens in all the programs that I use, even when I'm renaming a file. I have two new Windows 7 computers (laptops) that I run 3D design software on. I have multiple programs that utilize a simultaneous pressing of both left and right mouse buttons (not double-click). This command goes unrecognized in my software and is used extensively to go into 3d rotational...

As a long Time Warner Cable customer, I've gotten used to how their DVR boxes work (and am very glad to be off of them now). One very common thing I would do is start watching a show, and mid way through it decide I want to record it and watch it later. The nice thing was that the recording would...

Hi! Like the title suggests, my CPU fan goes into overdrive once W7 puts the computer in sleep mode. When I hit a key to bring the computer back, the fan spins down again. Anyone else who experienced this? Does this suggest that something is taxing the CPU when the computer goes into sleep...
