    My Pictures "location is not available access is denied"


    if i go to libraries and find mypictures there it is okay.
    how do i get all the win7 mypictures to talk to each other!

    thanks - basically it says no can do!

    in win7 i can go to a windows list and see my pictures etc - but we get the message above when we click on them. - go to libraries aand click on the same name file and there are the files.

    If you could get some Screen shots with the snipping tool it might help me understand. When you say windows list I'm guessing you mean windows explorer? If yes make sure you are not clicking on a junction point (shortcut) instead of your actual Pictures or My Pictures folder. In the attached image the My Documents is a junction point, if I double click it i will get a C:\Users\Kerry\My Documents is not accessible,.... Access is denied message. It's just a link to the actual My Documents folder that is somewhere else. The junction points won't show up though if you have hidden files enabled.

    Hello Pismo, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You could do step 3 and 5 in OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to no longer have hidden files displayed. :)

    Yes you could select "Don't show hidden files", if you do in fact have it turned off. You may also want to check that "Hide protected operating system files" is checked too. Then if you still have your problem it likely isn't a junction point issue and you'll have to describe your issue in more detail.
