Windows 7: Corrupted Input Language/Keyboard / Windows 7?

Corrupted Input Language/Keyboard / Windows 7?

I have an utterly frustrating problem... I'm normally using Swedish as the Input Language and a Swedish keyboard layout. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, one (1) specific key stopped functioning. I am 100% sure that it's not a Hardware problem. The same (physical) key on the keyboard works perfectly when the keyboard layout is anything but Swedish (e.g. US), AND, also the OnScreen keyboard demonstrate exactly the same behavior, the key (which happens to be an on the Swedish physical keyboard) works perfectly when a US keyboard layout is used (language/regional settings), but immediately stops working when Swedish is applied. With Swedish applied, nothing happens, no character at all appears.

I reckon that the keyboard layout definition (file?) must have become corrupt somehow.

How on earth can I re-install/patch whatever it takes to have it working again?

I'm running 64-bit Windows 7, (6.1.7601)

I have tried all obvious permutations of removing input languages/keyboards, adding them back, rebooting and so forth.

I have my fingers crossed!
