He mentioned using the snipping tool for screen shots. Those should be entered as attachments to keep the display clean. This forum offers some nice tools....use 'em!

i believe the tutorial is called "screenshots and files"
im not sure there is much point splitting hairs over a technical point as the answers provided covered the OP's question,
there are several ways to skin a cat and more often than not when a question is asked then several soloutions are given without issue,
im sure the OP can decide which method suits him/her

edit: this post seems to make little sense now as the post prior to this has been deleted.

You're right. I never realized before that it was possible to both (a) upload attachments to SevenForums, and then (b) insert them IN-LINE into text. I had honestly thought that all attachments added with the paperclip just always got placed at the end of the post, not knowing it was possible to also then re-locate them with the same paperclip and a subsequent step.

I'd just always uploaded any images I wanted to post to any forum to ImageShack, and then used the "direct link URL" imbedded between my own manually typed [ i m g ] and [ / i m g ] boundary delimiters, whenever I wanted to put an image into a post. I'm so accustomed to inserting images that way that a few typed characters just comes automatically to me, given that I was putting them on ImageShack anyway (which also allows me to easily re-post them into other forums if I want). I'm sure this is exactly what the tutorial from step #9 is accomplishing, but using a GUI-based technique.

Anyway, as has been mentioned... there are generally many ways to skin a cat, and they all get the job done. I think OP's question(s) are fully answered by the assorted responses provided by all of us here.
