Windows 7: Problems connecting to lan games that worked before.

Hi guys



Im running Windows 7 Home 64bit and the other is running XP home 32bit.

The computers could connect before and play old games like AoE2 and C&C on the network but ive done something stupid to my pc and it now wont let me connect to the games the other pc sets up and wont let the other find my games.
I have been playing with the (standard) windows firewall and its letting the games though but wont let me play with my friend.
We dont have a network, we just plug in to the router and of we go (or used too) and the settings on the router havnt changed.

Also i (by mistake) deleted the default admin user as my account is admin already but it did this problem a while after that.

Ive also tried to ping this computer and it comes up with request timed out.
