Can I upgrade?

I currently own a copy of Win XP Pro that I purchased via MSDN (through school). I used Win7 RC for awhile, and decided to buy it

I looked into the features of each version and I should only need Home Premium.

Am I able to purchase a Win7 Upgrade instead of a full license?

Hi Crath and welcome to Windows 7 Forums. Glad you are here.

Yes, Microsoft said it will allow RC testers to purchase and install an "Ugrade" copy of the retail 7 when it is released. Your RC must be activated to use the "Upgrade".

In relation to the RC being upgraded... if I pre-ordered home premuim and default installed RC Ultimate, can it still be upgraded to home premium or do I have figure out how to force the RC to install the home premium version instead?

Your fine. I have done the same. We both can install our 7 Home Premium. Read the other links about what "Upgrade" means to our situation.
