    windows desktop will not load

    Hello,

just now I am having this problem with my laptop here.

Whenever I start,it does the usual windows sign, but then its black screen.I can hear starting music but a black screen. My login is set to auto,so no point showing the login screen as well.

Last night it was working perfect, have not done anything unusual, not downloaded any software or torrent, yet the problem is here.Mind you I am writing this on safe mode..seems as though it loads perfectly well on safe mode.

I did the windows repair thingy, but still black screen and no background music this time.I really have no idea what is going on but I really am scared now

There may be a problem with your Explorer.exe. Have a look at this how to fix it: Troubleshooting Explorer.exe Crashing Issues

What "windows repair thingy" did you do exactly?

Since you can get into Safe Mode, work through these troubleshooting steps.

You may need to update or reinstall your Display driver in Device Manager - reinstall by uninstalling then restarting computer to see if it will boot up normally and reinstall.

There is one more thing I would like to add(dunno if it is important or not).

I used to have my laptop connected to my big monitor here,so I never had to use my laptop's monitor(?). Last night was no different as well, but today as I unhooked the wires and started using my laptop with no sort of monitor support or anything, the desktop does not show up.Could this be a resolution problem?I always thought that my laptop always changes back to its native resolution(before it always happened).

Check by rightclicking the desktop to choose Screen Resolution.

If this doesn't help enter BIOS setup to see what monitor is detected.

alright I found the problem..screen resolution.

But here is what I don't understand. It seems as though it remembers the settings for my monitor, yet I can't get it to remember the settings for this laptop.I am applying it everytime, remove the wires and all works well then.BUT, when I restart,it does not show up(does not load, black screen again),and again I hook up the wires,it shows up on my desktop.

    What is going on here?
