Does it appear on a new icon ?
Do you use Norton 360 Backup ?
In Norton 360 backup there are icon overlays for the files that need to be backed up and have not yet been backed up. You can turn this feature off in Norton. It will take a reboot after you turn the feature off for your "normal" icons to return. Let me know if you need step-by-step instructions or if you figured it out.
Not Norton 360 (although I do have it, I don't use the backup feature), but I used Norton Ghost 14 to restore my drive before my original post. I'm off to check this out...

    Thanks!!

Can you open these files/folders from these libraries (i.e. by double-clicking them)?

THAT! was it!!! Norton 360 had Backup Status Overlays turned on (I don't know why, I never set that, and have Backups disabled)

    Turned it off, and Bingo!

    AddRAM Rocks!!! Thanks so much!
