OK guys, you have persuaded me

I think I need to do a complete format and re-install of Windows as I seem to be getting nowhere. Strange this was, I downloaded RT7 Lite with the idea of making a 'slipstream' DVD but when I rebooted the Rocket Team option on my Start Menu was empty? The program can be launched from the dektop shortcut though?

Can anyone recommend a driver backup app that saves all the drivers to an exe so I can create a driver DVD too please?

    Thanks again guys.

    IMHO the best decision.

Start fresh is a good call. Once the registry has been mucked up their is only so much that can be done.

Can I ask one more question please? I am making a slipstream DVD for Win7 x64 but am not sure which .exe to download to place on the disk as there seem many on the MS site? I am following the instructions from this very forum.

    Many thanks as always

After trying to use the RTseven install, which fell over, I went back to installing via the genuine Win7 disk and all went fine.
