    Hi to all!
I just recently changed my sharing settings for my laptop to have access over my desktop which i keep my files. After customizing the home network and the network settings (which it work for the access i wanted), some things started to behave weird... (in the desktop: Win 7 U x64).

Windows explorer doesn' t respond normally. When i open my computer it makes a big deal to load the icons and not all the properties are displayed when i change the view in details and even my computer doesn't load. From the left bar, if i extend my disks i can see the content inside them without problem. But it has a problem with viewing the thumbnails (the big tiles), for example in the images, and also doesn't so the right preview of the image. The same as in my computer happens in the network section, doesn' t load at all, but can select the location f.e. my laptop, left from the side bar, which by the way is constantly thinking!

I am not very sure what did i change in the Network sharing settings, but I thing that is the problem! But really can't figure it out , neither I can find a solution online.. Any suggestions?

I Forgot to mention, that when I save with Firefox an image, in the save window, things are working normally...!

    Your lights please!

How about doing a System Restore to before you made the changes then start over.

It would have been nice if I had one!

I left the pc scaning with avira all night, and it is virus free. But I just saw that some windows that I had cklicked yesterday night and didn't open I found them open, and the same with Photoshop. It was freezing on loading for a loooong time, and I found it open on morning as well...

I believe it has something to do with the home network... something making a loop, and freezes everything on explorer...

Remove all the shares you setup, reboot and see if things are okay. If yes then start over setting up sharing. Ask any questions you may have here.

That is what I did and it worked Ztruker! Thanks very much for your assistance!

I deleted my homegroup and things came back to normal. But it is weird all this. I would really like an explanation of why this happened...
