Ghost icons in taskbar -- All programs show "(2)" after name

I recently installed Bins (by 1UP Industries) to help organize my taskbar, but I had some problems with it, including the disappearance of all icons on my taskbar, so I decided to uninstall it and start from fresh.

Now, after re-pinning all my favourite programs to my taskbar, every program shows "(2)" after its name when I right-click on it, as if it is the second copy of the program I have pinned. Another copy of the program, however, is NOT shown. It is as if all my previously pinned icons disappeared, but still register as if they are present.

How do I clear these "ghost" copies of my pinned programs? Is it possible to do a hard reset of the taskbar contents, and clear everything?

    Check here:

    C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

Delete all there then start over.

That worked perfectly! Thanks so much for the help. :) It's always nice to know where Windows stashes away all those behind-the-scenes files.
