    Intellitype for Keyboard not compatible?

Hi Changed from xp to win7 Upgraded. Got a Microsoft multimedia keyboard v1.0A tried to load IntelliType Pro 2.2 software disc but says non compatible.
Even tried downloading new versions inc: Vista but same result. Good grief this is a Microsoft own product and Microsoft own keyboard. How the devil can it be non compatible?????????????

no idea my v2.0 required absolutely no software or user input at all it worked right off the bat.
Is it possible you have somehow over complicated it?

Off topic but even better, just go get a mechanical keyboard, beats whatever you got there anyway.

It'll be the software that's the problem.

Just use the keyboard with Windows 7 generic drivers and you should be fine.

If you're being informed that the Intellitype Pro 2.2 software is incompatible there's not a lot of point in trying to install it.

You could try and install it in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Windows Vista if you're adamant you want to use it.

Other than that, buy a new keyboard that has the Windows 7 logo and your problem is solved. Keyboards are very cheap these days.

    Found software

not easy but eventually found a microsoft site that went to the right place and found the software.

Assign macro or function to keys on your keyboard

Got the software now working fine.
