If you have deleted the cmd.exe file from c:\windows\system32 folder, you could find a copy of CMD.exe in the c:\windows\winsxs\ folder.

My 64 bit windows 7 has two sets of CMD.exe as shown in the image. You could search for it in the windows\winsxs folder and copy back.

you may have your system files hidden.

in windows explorer, hit the 'alt' key to bring up a menu bar >> tools >> folder options >> view >> show hidden files, folders or drives.

c:\windows\system32 is where it should live.

remember to hide your files again afterwards.

Right so I've added, It to my System32. Thing's such as, Bat files. Will they work now? Also, Command Prompt? In the accessories folder?

try it by typing cmd in your start-menu searchbox, or clicking the 'command prompt' shortcut in accessories

As long as the cmd.exe file is in c:\windows\system32 folder, it should work fine.

You can also try to access it by pressing shift key while right clicking on a folder and selecting "Open Command Window here".
