How control Dialogue boxes zooming/fading in and out?

With an Aero theme dialogue boxes, menus, and open program panels kinda zoom or fade into and out of sight when you open or close them.

Is there a way to have them just appear and disappear without the animation and without messing something else up?

Thanks all.

My recommendations are to uncheck:
  • Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
  • Fade or slide menus into view
  • Fade or slide ToolTips into view
  • Fadeout menu items after clicking
  • Slide open combo boxes
  • Smooth-scroll list boxes

Sound Fading Out
When i'm watching a video or playing a game, the sound fades out after it's been playing at a steady volume, but as soon as it gets louder, (e.g. an explosion) it comes back, then fades out again. It's really annoying. I'm using an afterglow wireless gaming headset.

NAS boxes, NAS Routers, and Torrent Boxes
I had difficulty using a NAS with torrent capabilities, mainly because I use Win 7, and also I could not replace the HD after it started to malfunction. Right now, I'm using an old notebook with XP and an external HD for torrents. This is a lot easier to manage because I can disconnect the HD...

Anyway to prevent zooming?
I have some senile parents and no matter how many times I try to explain why their mail is at 2pt font they always end up with the same "problem" after a month or 2. Is there anyway to disable zooming abilities in windows 7? They most often find a way to zoom out to the tiniest possible font in...

I tried to change the logon sound but noticed I can't access the bottom half of the dialogue box. I tried to play around with font size but it's at 100% meaning it's the minimal size Please help.

Zooming in
I just got Microsoft Wireless 1000 mouse which came with my desktop package, i was just wondering, is the only way to zoom into a photo on Photo Gallery is to use the Zoom bar down the bottom, because i swear with the old mouse i could scroll and it would zoom in. So can you only zoom in with...

Zooming in Movie Maker
For some reason the zoom tools are disabled in my version of Windows Live Movie Maker (14.0), unfortunately none of the help files tell me why? It might just be that my video camera doesn't record enough pixels (or whatever they are called) but I'd like to know.
