    beta testers

Microsoft please add us to the list of beta testers :):):) for windows 7 for the next release.

you can be assured once you release it to the general public this will be one of the main sites they come to to get help with any problems they get.
so how about letting us get started now

    cheers brad

I guess you are speaking for the site? I think you should first go through the process of becoming a partner. No guarantee of success but it would help. I havn't heard of sites becoming testers but who knows. I could not visualise it, as, with members having free access, it would lead to rampant pirating.
The easy way, which I did for Vista (I was a Beta tester) is to spend some cash and become a Technet subscriber.

Im a registered OEM partner with Microsoft and they didn't tell us jack shit about Windows 7, I had to request mine from another company who is officially trialing it just so we could test the code that this company needs us to help test as stated in the contact we have with them, we had to use their serials too and our contract do not cover this one bit so if Microsoft sues us we are F*****...

Not ****** Happy with Microsoft about that situation considering the legality of it all, They should open up the entire beta cycle for everyone if they want the right feedback, bugs and problems fixed this time around and not another Vista fiasco...

I know there is a lot of chat around the Web, regarding the availability of "7" on the partner site. I am a regular visitor there and have seen no mention of it on any of the pages.
It is quite easy to become a partner, if you can refer, in the application, to a registered company, but there are various proviso's in the small print which could still prohibit you from receiving full information on downloads.
As far as I know, the Windows 7 version which is circulating illegally at the moment, is for Ms worldwide interoffice use. It is basically the updated Vista, with a few already added , but minor functions. I would imagine that when it has reached a stage when there is something to test, it will be released to newly chosen Beta testers.
