Windows freeze on boot at "Starting Windows" and "LOADED ...\disk.sys"

    I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64

The other day I was afk while listening to loud music from my computer.
Suddenly the speakers began screaming in a high pitch and when I got to my computer it had frozen.
I tried to reboot it, but it simply froze at the Windows loading screen with the floating balls of light and the text: "Starting Windows".
I have also tried booting from the Windows 7 Installation DVD, but it freezes at the loading screen once again.

I then tried to use the Startup Repair Tool, only to find Windows freezing at the loading screen again.

When trying to reboot in safe mode, it freezes again, just after having loaded "disk.sys"

These are the things I have tried so far:

    - I have run memory tests using Memtest86.
    - I have run hard disk drive tests using SeaTools
    - No errors were found.
    - I removed the sound card from the MB, with same boot result.
    *EDIT*
    - I have reset the BIOS
    - I booted with 2GB of RAM instead of my standard 4GB

Anyone who can think of other things I should try?

    Suggest you run SFC. {Option 2}
You may need to run it at least 3 times.
Let us know the report at the end please.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    In addition:

Boot into System Recovery Options from the Win7 DVD or System Repair Disk.

Run Startup Repair repeatedly. Report back what it finds.

I actually also forgot to mention in my original post that the same problem occurs when I boot from my Windows 7 Installation DVD. It begins loading just to freeze a few seconds later.

I googled it abit, and it seems I can only run the SFC through commandprompt inside Windows or from the System Recovery Options menu from the Windows 7 DVD.

But basically it seems like I cannot run anything that has to do with Windows.
Testing programs, like the ones listed in the original post, work fine however.

I also edited the original post to contain some more info on what I've further tried.

Try accessing System Recovery Options via the F8 Advanced Boot Options menu or System Repair Disk.

There is an entire menu to follow to try when Windows 7 fails to boot which I posted earlier and which you didn't apparently read. Why is this? To rescue your OS you have to be a lot more thorough.

Hi again and thanks for the amazingly quick replies.
I am sorry I have been so slow on my replies, but I have been very busy lately.
To go through the things I tried since last:

    - Defender Offline BETA software: Freezes at Windows loading screen (not my picture but just to show which screen)
    - Startup Repair: Freezes at Windows loading screen
    - SFC: I cannot reach the command prompt, because I cannot enter anything Windows related it seems
    - Partition Wizard Bootable CD: It works fine but then stops with the last few lines:
    md: Autodetecting RAID arrays.
md: Scanned 0 and added 0 devices.
    md: autorun ...
    md: ... autorun DONE.
RAMDISK: gzip image found at block 0
(I cannot push any keys and the only option is to power the computer off)

While messing around with the Hardware of my computer, I suddenly found a small broken off chip. I have a hard time locating where it used to be, but in any case, this is probably not the right forum to ask questions about that.

Ill be trying to do some testing with another Motherboard when I get the time - I will be sure to let you know what happens.
