Windows 7: My documents in another location.

I suppose I was expecting all of the files/folders within the shortcut to be marked with the blue upward arrow. That's why I'm thinking they aren't shortcuts.

So if I make an Acronis image of C:\ will it just image the shortcut or will it include all the files/folders?

Yes the shortcut is just to the folder. Explorer then displays the real files. Any image of C: will just image the shortcut.
