How do I use 2 windows at once?

I know I can use side by side. I would like to lay one on top of the other
and not have it be laid under the one I am inputting the info on to.
Is this possible or not? If so how do I do it?

    Welcome to SevenForums.

If i think what your wanting is having 1 windows Running and then load another one while the other one is also Running.

Using a VM (Virtual Machine) is how I use windows XP with windows 7.

Oracle do a free one with loads of features.

oi789, if you mean showing explorer windows above each other as opposed to side by side.
then try right clicking the taskbar and select "show windows stacked"
