Desktop rotated 90 degerees

I volunteer at an elementary school and one of the kids today played with the keyboard and rotated the desktop 90 degrees. I could not figure out to get it back vertical. Any suggestions?

Hi.

Right click on desktop, click on Screen resolution, select landscape, apply,Keep changes.

Or click on Start\Control Panel\Display\Adjust resolution,select landscape,apply,Keep changes.

During these steps it may help if you hold the mouse upside down.

Hi,

Does the PC use an Nvidia card by any chance? Try this key combination :

CTRL+ALT+ARROW KEYS

Hi,

No worries. If the key combinations do not work, and it is an Nvidia card, try this option in the Nvidia Control Panel (access it by right-clicking on your dekstop).

Same thing happened to me when my cat decided to take a shortcut across the keyboard. Panais' suggestion is what worked for me. Difficult with a trackpad, however.

And if this ever happens with an ATI graphics card, use Catalyst Control Center's pop-up menu to rotate the screen back to normal. Also good for mounting monitors sideways from strange crossfire uses.
