    Windows outlined while dragging

All the sudden, when I drag a window now, an about 3px thick inverted color border shows up where the window is and it drags that instead of the actual window, then places it.

How can I set it so that when I drag a window, it drags the actual window?

    Hello Michael,

The tutorial below can help show you how to get it back to showing the window contents while dragging instead of just the outline. :)

Hello damiROLAND, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you check the settings in each OPTION in the tutorial above to make sure they were set to allow content to be dragged?

Did you install any all-in-one tweaking type program that may be overriding the default settings?

Just to be safe and make sure that your system is clean, I would recommend that you do a full scan of your system at boot with Windows Defender Offline.

Clicking on the link in my post above will help show you how to download and use Windows Defender Offline.

If you like, you may also be able to do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you installed Windows 8 UX pack to hopefully undo and fix this.

For future reference, it's prefered to type the full word instead of that short "texting" stuff to help make it more understandable.

Not having a restore point may make this very hard to fix, if possible.
