Start up issues, cannot repair

hi,

i have an acer extensa 5635Z.

i am having start up issues where a blue screen comes up for a split second and then computer gives me to option to try and repair or start window normally. when i try and repair the problem it cannot find any issues with it. most times i can just chose to start windows normally and windows starts up, but then the computer and internet seem to be slower than normal. when i tried to restart it last the blue screen attached came up and i had to power off the computer and restart again, i am using the computer now.

I have done a system restore and fully cleaned out the computer and then re installed windows with the recovery discs but this problem has not gone away.

Could anyone tell me what the issue is or how much it may cost to fix this issue?? not a very expensive laptop so not worth spending much money on it.

Please have a look at this tutorial, which explains how to create a dump report after a BSOD. This report is then uploaded so that our BSOD experts can analyze it and with a bit of luck, come up with a solution.

We can't really say you're reinstalled if you only factory recovered since this could be caused by the inherent corruption in a factory preinstall, with all of it's bloatware and useless factory utilities that have better versions built into Win7.

But it also can point toward hardware problems so I'd follow these troubleshooting steps
to comb the logs, utilize System Resources and test hardware to try to narrow it down.

In particular I'd want to see what happens with a Clean Boot with no freeloaders starting with Windows, except a lean freeware AV like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast 6.

Work through all of the steps and report back what you find, then we'll have more.
