    A goofy copy and past.

I can copy and past, lets say a web address or a line in a post but when I drag the cursor over what I'm trying to copy there isn't any high lighting, color change or any other visual way of seeing what I have covered with the cursor.

    Open the Control Panel.

    Select the Internet Options applet

    Click on the Security tab.

    Then click on Custom Setting,

Find the option "Drag and copy or paste"

    Ensure that it is enabled.

Thanks for getting to me so soon. I have checked what you have suggested. It's enabled. I can copy and past I just can't see the change of colors when I run the cursor across a word. Like this. (( Like this.)) Their was no color change to show what I have dragged the cursor across. I think it is Windows appearance under colors, advance appearance but I don't know what to change.

Okay I figured it out, it only took me a half a day. As my post above, once you get into advance display tick on desktop then Windows and change the colors. Now it works. Thanks again for your concern and help.

Glad you figured it our Bear. In advanced appearance settings you changed the Windows color then? Mine is set to white w/black text. Sometime when I edit or submit a new post I can't highlight to copy either unless I refresh the page. this only happens here on SF.

Some of these little goofy computer problems sure take a long time to figure out. It could be in the application, program or Windows7. Just have to keep hunting and pecking until you find it.
