Seven Forums and Microsoft Community Contributor Award Seven Forums and Microsoft Community Contributor Award SevenForums.com has partnered up with Microsoft as the first non-Microsoft managed community to have the Microsoft Community Contributor Award offered to our members. What is the Microsoft Community Contributor Award? The award seeks to recognize those who are making a difference in online technical communities. These contributions can vary from answers in forums to translating content for members of the community to learn from. Previously, awardees were chosen only from Microsoft’s own online communities, such as MSDN or Microsoft Answers. Now Microsoft has expanded their search for awardees to sites such as SevenForums.
You can visit the award’s official site at www.microsoftcommunitycontributor.com. There you’ll find links to FAQs, current awardees, and more. Be sure to also visit Microsoft's Facebook page for program updates and more about the award itself.- Members must be 18 and over to be eligible.
- MVPs are not eligible.
How does this work:We the staff at SevenForums will sift through our members and give a list of nominees (member user names only) to Microsoft for consideration of getting the award. The Microsoft MCC Team will then review each nominee's posts and activities here at SevenForums for award consideration. When Microsoft has finished evaluating the nominees, they will give us a list of awardees that we (SevenForums) will send an award notification email to directly from SevenForums. From here, you (our member) can accept or decline the Microsoft Community Contributor Award. Awarded members will get a Microsoft Community Contributor Award badge added to their profile here at SevenForums. Example award notification email: Quote: Congratulations! Your contributions on Sevenforums have made you eligible for the Microsoft Community Contributor Award. This award recognizes individuals who make notable contributions to online technical communities. We have partnered with Microsoft to select those within our community who make a difference in the community and you’re one of them. As part of this award, you will receive an award certificate, complimentary access to the Safari Books Online library, access to the official award logo and more. Please note that we have not shared your contact information with Microsoft and are handling the communication to you. Great! Now what do I need to do to claim this award? Simply visit the award verification site InvitationURL and enter the following verification code and your email. Identification code: XYZ12345 This simply lets Microsoft know how to contact you about this award. Within a few moments of entering this information, you will receive an official award with your log-in information to the official award page. There you will complete a few easy steps and you’re done. Should you have any questions about this process, you can contact the official award support team. Once again, congratulations on reaching this great accomplishment! Congratulations to our first group of MCCA 2012 awardees.
