Odd how they pick and choose.
You helped me out when I first started on the forums and have inspired me to carry on even though I am sometimes not up to the task. It is your Hoosier genes that makes you a friendly help bloke.

A Hoosier is someone that lives in Indiana. I have no idea how they got that name.

And it is the nice meaning, not the St Louis meaning. People from Ohio are called Buck Eyes here. I think people here would be shocked to find out it is also a derogatory term. This film is known as Hoosiers here but Best Shot elsewhere. Some of it was filmed in the town I live in in Indiana.

It would definition #2 from the urban dictionary, another view... What Is a Hoosier? — Indiana Historical Society
We wear the name proudly much like the term "pom" appliers to Englishmen in Australia. Part of Hoosiers was filmed in New Richmond IN.
Some say it stems from an old greeting, "How's yours" and became Hoosier. Dave Letterman and (unfortunately) Dan Quayle are Hoosiers.

The nut from the buckeye tree are toxic to animals and humans but a candy is made that looks like them. A ball of a sweetened peanut butter mixture, dipped in a dark chocolate.
