OK, sounds like you have some hardware that needs drivers installed. You'll have to download them from the manufacturers web site's support section for your PC. Something you probably should have done before you did your clean install. Now you will have to download them on another PC and use a USB thumbdrive or other media to transfer and install them on your PC. I'd install the drivers for your network card first, then once you have a working Internet connection you can download the rest directly to your problem PC. Device Manager should show you what's not working and requires drivers. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me :) It's a model No. 3.1415926 OS Windows 7 Ultimate AMD64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz Motherboard Asus M4N68T-M V2 µATX Motherboard Memory 8GB 4GBx2 Kingston PC10600 DDR3 1333 Memory Graphics Card BFG NVIDIA Geforce 220GT 1 Gig DDR2 PCIe Sound Card VIA VT1708s High Definition Audio 8-channel Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2 x 19" I-INC AG191D TFT Flat Panel Screen Resolution 1280x1024 x 2 Keyboard Logitech Internet 600 Mouse Logitech Wireless Trackman Wheel PSU Extreme ATX 450 Watt Model No. RSY-645 Case Power Up Black ATX Mid-Tower Case Cooling Stock heatsink and fan Hard Drives 500 Gig WesternDigital SATA-300 Drive Internet Speed 20 Mbps Down 1 Mbps Up Other Info HP DVD1040e Lightscribe - External USB2 |

Is your computer self-built or bought from a computer manufacturer?
If it is the latter, go to their support site where you can download all the drivers you need.
As alphanumeric says, have a look in device manager for anything that has a yellow question mark against it, which indicates a driver is needed. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion Elite 495UK OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz Motherboard MSI 2A9C (CPU1) Memory 8Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTX 460 1024MB dedicated RAM Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays HP2310i Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech K750 solar-powered keyboard Mouse Logitech Wireless M180 mouse PSU 460W Case HP Elite Cooling Air cooled Hard Drives 1x1954GB Hitachi HDS22020ALA 330 (RAID), 1x1954GB Hitachi External for backup and storage Internet Speed 2Mb Other Info Pure Avanti Flow Internet Radio with iPod Dock, 64Gb iPod, HP USB Speakers, Sony MDR-V500 Headphones, Sony Vaio F-Series Laptop |

Do you have a Dell ID number unique to your particular PC? I forget what they call it. Service tag??
If you use that number, it should lead you to stuff that is compatible with your specific PC.
Or post a screen shot of what you are seeing at Dell web site. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Yes the "Service Tag Number" is what you want. It should be listed on a sticker on the PC somewhere. It's also listed in the BIOS. Input that number in the correct spot on the dell support site and it will lead you to downloads for you specific model dell. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me :) It's a model No. 3.1415926 OS Windows 7 Ultimate AMD64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition Deneb 3.7GHz Motherboard Asus M4N68T-M V2 µATX Motherboard Memory 8GB 4GBx2 Kingston PC10600 DDR3 1333 Memory Graphics Card BFG NVIDIA Geforce 220GT 1 Gig DDR2 PCIe Sound Card VIA VT1708s High Definition Audio 8-channel Onboard Monitor(s) Displays 2 x 19" I-INC AG191D TFT Flat Panel Screen Resolution 1280x1024 x 2 Keyboard Logitech Internet 600 Mouse Logitech Wireless Trackman Wheel PSU Extreme ATX 450 Watt Model No. RSY-645 Case Power Up Black ATX Mid-Tower Case Cooling Stock heatsink and fan Hard Drives 500 Gig WesternDigital SATA-300 Drive Internet Speed 20 Mbps Down 1 Mbps Up Other Info HP DVD1040e Lightscribe - External USB2 Reinstalled windows 7, drivers dont work and can't connect to internet problems?
