| | Operating system not found error on startup (windows 7 ) ! guyz i hv sony viao laptop, when i start my pc it shows the following error " operating system not found " when i opened bios menu, it doesnt detectes the hard drive n says " no drive " . hv my hard disk crashed ? or some another issue ? plz help me out  |

| | Try reinstalling the HD, changing cables, to see if you can get it to register in BIOS. Until it register in BIOS there's little point in running maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan. YOu may need to replace it. |
