Copy partition to a copied disk with MINITOOL WIZARD

    Hi !
Im a newbee and i made a diskcopy from my HD 1 TB to LA Cie USB disk 1 tb.
    The source disk have a

    * hidden recovery part,
    C: aktiv boot
    D: data disk

After copy disk I saw a differens in the aktive boot part on the target disk with about
7 gb less on the used space.

Now I deleted the aktiv boot part on the target disk and made a copy
partiation from the sorce disk to the target and now it became exaktly the same.

    My questions:
Will this copy work allright if I have to copy back all the parts.

Using Minitool 7.1 bootable CD didnt find my target disk so I used Minitool
ver 7.0 bootable cd and it works ! Whats the problem with 7.1 ??

    Best regards

It is best to use backup imaging to save and restore partitions, especially the OS: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
    System Image Recovery
    Macrium - Image your system

Acronis' premium imaging app is available free if there is any WD or Seagate HD in the mix.

When googling the error text and number it appears this can be the result of the registry being modified or otherwise corrupted. Have you used any optimizing suites or done any compound tweaking? Win7 cannot tolerate much of this as it is already the leanest Windows ever.

You can continue troubleshooting the error via google or try the free Macrium tool which is preferred by many of the experts here in our Backup forum.

Ive just downloaded the free Macrium tool and Ive started a clone copy off
the source disk and it seems to work very well.

Just copied the recovery section and the system part with succes ... and
its still working with the data part so Ive to wait.

Made a bootable cd with succes.

Well about my win 7 and the error code I will now start to make regulary backups
of my register to be able to solve this kinds of problems.

Thankyou for helping me with googling and everything else.
As a newbee i feel ive just take the first step how to secure my data if something happens.

    All the best
