-1 There are 10 references in the thread that indicate at least a moderate distaste for the Aero interface.
I am going to continue using Aero for at least three more weeks. I am making this attempt to acclimate in an effort to determine if it is simply a matter of familiarity that underlies my dislike of the Aero interface. As I have posted before, I really like the thumbnail previews - even though they have limited functionality in my usage patterns. I also like the fact that a certain amount of information is embedded in the icons' visual presentation - download progress, for example.
I do wish the taskbar was completely opaque. The changing color during wallpaper changes is annoying. Of course, there is an alternative "fix".
My latest challenge is found in the IE tab bar. In my current color scheme, it is rather difficult to determine which tab is the active tab - the "X" is fairly dim. I will test a couple of other color schemes to address this.
hm... i fell in love with aero..... years back starting with vista betas.
and pretty much hated xp interface (visuals), i guess im a more form over functions kinda guy. and with win7's updated aero over vista's, i fell in love again.
dont you miss those vista beta days when a few of your buddies (or even people you dont know) sees your windows (for the first time) while you are using it, and they go wow cool!? that's because if aero, and it's damn slick looking.
xp's interface looks too.... boring imo.
i love aero. using xp at work makes me appreciate it all the more.
What is it with people saying "windows should look like osx" that really p15535 me off! if you don't like it, don't use it. if you want a mac, go pay the $$$$ and shut the hell up about it
Nothing wrong at all with Aero, if people don't like it there's a little option to use BASIC themes which will disable it. Personally I don't even notice it, it's not like I spend all day looking at every little bit of the GUI thinking "Oooh isn't that pretty" or "Oh dear, that not good"
