A strange noise

Hi guys,I don't what happened, but yestarday, while I was at my computer something weird happened.
Suddenly from the PC,heared that noise when I start the PC,it was like the fan was start spinning again.
Now when I've opened my pc,while it was booting,I took a look at the fan and sometimes it spined slowly, than usual.
Now it's spining okay, and I haven't heared that noise again,
what was it?
Thank you.

Sounds like a fan needs to be replaced. They do eventually wear out. The bearings in the motor wear out or lose lubrication. It will get noisy, run slow or maybe not at all.

Hum I am shortly going to post another one of my "wrinkles" re fans as they can be "serviced" once checked out for bearing wear and even if it only keps them going until you can replace them

Yeah didn't think of that one roban and I suppose we had better not forget the good old optical either eh? I've had some pretty noisy ones of those too.
